Their aim is to improve the care and welfare of those affected by prostate cancer, increase investment in research, and raise public and political awareness of a long-neglected disease. One in eight men in the UK will develop prostate cancer at some point in their lives (one in four for those of African or Caribbean descent). A new screening trial TRANSFORM aims to double the efficacy of current screening methods for prostate cancer.
SANDS SANDS is the leading stillbirth and neonatal death charity in the UK. Sands exists to reduce the number of babies dying and to ensure that anyone affected by the death of a baby receives the best possible care and support for as long as they need it.
