Bagging

Bagging is "the activity of walking or climbing to the top of as many high Scottish mountains (Munros, Corbetts, Fionas/Grahams, Donalds...) as you can." 

Someone who has bagged all 282 Munros is called a Munroist and is said to have compleated a Munro round.

The Scottish Mountaineering Club (SMC) keep a list of compleators for Munros and other hill lists. The first Munroist was Rev A.E. Robertson in 1901. My own Munroist number is 8362 and the Munro round took 4 years, 4 months and 8 days. For context, the current fastest self-propelled (foot, bike and kayak) Munro round is by Jamie Aarons in 31 days, 10 hours and 27 minutes (!) 

My 1st Munro was Ben Lomond on 19th March 2022, and my 282nd Munro was Sgurr Alasdair in The Cuillin on 27th July 2026. The Cuillin in 2025 and 2026  were largely the finale of the Munro round, along with some other hard to reach hills. There were 6 visits to The Cuillin Ridge to climb the 11 Munros there. Again, for context - the record for traversing the entire ridge in summer conditions is held by Finlay Wild in 2hrs 59mins 22secs (!!) The record for a winter traverse is held by Matt Pavitt in 4 hrs 35 mins 17 secs.
